The Madness of the Drug War

Just think of the message we are sending the children? That has to be the craziest line I’ve ever heard. Yet, it works so well on the idiots it’s used on. Instantly tells them they must be poor parents if they don’t agree with the lunacy. Yeah, just think of the children when you throw their parents in jail. When you throw them into the system. When you lock away their opportunities to contribute. To learn. To live a full life. Just think of the children when you rob them of their life.,

Here are a couple of videos that do a fine job of demonstrating how this crazy drug war has undermined the entire social fabric. How it has destroyed the concept of liberty in this country. How we have allowed ourselves to become sheep, with the police as wolves, rather than Shepard’s.

This one is about an hour and a half long, but it’s well worth it. Oh yeah, only the first minute is in German, the rest is in English.  For those of you who don’t have enough time or interest, here is a much shorter one. Message is the same. Just about six minutes instead.

This war has gone on long enough. It is time to end it while we still have the illussion of democracy and freedom in this country. This war on drugs has been the centerpiece of a movement which has robbed this country’s citizens of the knowledge they were supposed to be free. That the imprisonment of our country at such a rapid rate would have all those that died for our freedom rolling in their graves. Think of your children, and the world you wish to leave for them. Demand this change and give them a freer state to live in.

  1. Thanks to the Mysticmiss blog (it’s on the blogroll to the right) for sending the link on the second video. There are millions of us in this battle for truth, justice, and the pursuit of happiness. Every generation has the opportunity to realize it, will this be the generation that does?
